Can anyone tell me why plus sized clothing is so matronly? Or why the shape of the clothing is so terrible it makes us chubby gals look so unattractive?? Well I can... it's because the world is threatened by our fabulousness, and the only way they can keep people from falling head over heels for us is by making our clothes ugly! lol
Seriously though, why are plus sized clothes so gross? OK not all thick duds are ugly, but most of the clothing that I have available to my fingertips are boxy shapes, short hems, and crew necks that make my boobs smash together into one uniboob- look out Lance you uniballer you. Maybe it's the fact that I live in the sticks, and the fashionable plus sized clothing stores aren't obtainable. I manage to find cute clothes though, but most of the time I have to order clothes offline, and frankly that's just not fair! It stinks, because if something doesn't fit I have to pay shipping to send the crap back most of the time, and then wait forever it seems for a return or an exchange. There was a company I shopped with recently for the first time, and I took my measurements according to the web site's size chart to ensure I ordered the proper size. Well guess what...not one doggone thing fit! I sent two items back for exchange (needed other sizes), and one item back for return. It cost me an arm and a leg to ship the clothes back, because the company doesn't offer free return shipping, and on top of that it took a whole stinking month to get a store credit and even longer to get my exchange items! The one item I couldn't return because it was a clearance item needs altered, so that's more money I'll have to shell out for my curvaceous figure. This is the hullabaloo us chunky gals have to endure when purchasing hip clothing. Also on another note we always get the "plus sized clothes cost more, because it takes more fabric to make them!". OK, well what about children's clothing? Their clothes can be just as expensive if not MORE expensive, and it takes so little fabric! Yeah, how do you answer that one stupid clothing companies! I'd love to make my own plus size clothing line, but I don't know how to sew (that well). So, until the day comes that I do learn to sew, or shrink sizes, it's just something I'll have to deal with. Or is it? I suppose if there's something particular I want to purchase from one of those stupid places that have messed up sizes and don't pay for return shipping I will. In the mean time I'll just continue to shop at Torrid where the sizes are on point, the sales are rockin, and the clothes make my body look so delicious you'd turn down a cupcake, because I look so sweet! XOXO
